To make an invoice payment with a Bank Account, you must add and verify the account. There are two methods of adding a bank account: Instant Verification or Manual Verification.

Follow these steps to pay invoices on your iOS mobile phone app:

Open an invoice to make a payment.
Click here to see an overview about paying invoices.

You will see the Add Bank Account button if your Tax Professional accepts Bank Account as a method of payment.

To use your bank account as a method of payment, you must first add your bank account details to TaxCaddy, then verify the amounts deposited in your account.
If this is your first time using a bank account, tap Add Bank Account to add a bank account.

You can select between Instant Verification or Manual Verification.

Instant Verification - Requires you to sign in to your bank account to instantly verify your bank account.
-
Manual Verification - Requires you to add your add Routing Number, Account Number, Account Owner's Name, and Account Type. Once the bank account has been added, you will receive micro-deposits in two business days. Enter the amounts to complete your account verification.
Instant Verification
Follow these steps to instantly verify your bank account:

Tap Select Your Bank.

When the Plaid overview screen appears, tap Continue.

Scroll down or use the search bar to find your bank. Tap on your bank to select it.

Enter your bank's login credentials. Tap Submit.

You will see an error message if your login credentials were incorrect. Tap Retry Login and try again.

You will see a list of your accounts once you sign in successfully.

Tap on an account to select it for invoice payment. Tap Continue.

Once your bank account has been added successfully, tap the verified bank account to make a payment.

Your payment status will change to In Processing and you will receive a confirmation email within 5 business days.
Manual Verification
Follow these steps to manually verify your bank account:

If you choose to verify the bank account manually, under Manual Verification enter all fields, then tap Add Account. Verification may take 2 business days.

Once the bank account has been added, it still needs to be verified. You will see 2 deposits in this bank account that will be used to authenticate your bank account. This may take up to 2 business days. Tap Done to continue.

You will see the bank account listed under Select Bank Account.

Once you have received the two deposits, under Select Bank Account tap on an unverified bank account to verify it.

Note: You only need to verify the bank account once after adding it.

To verify this account, enter the two amounts deposited in your bank account, then tap Verify Account.

An error notification appears if the amount you entered is incorrect. Verify the correct amount in your bank account then tap Verify to try again.
Note: Your bank account will be locked if you fail to verify your micro-deposits in 10 attempts. If your bank account is locked, you can delete the bank account information and try again. Please contact TaxCaddy support if you are still unable to verify your locked account.
Alternatively, you can also try using the Instant Verification method.

Tap on the verified bank account to make a payment.

You will see Charge Submitted
notification once the payment has been submitted successfully. Tap Done to close the Payment Due screen. Your payment status will change to In Processing and you will receive a confirmation email within 5 business days.

Select the check box to authorize payment from your bank account.

A stamp is placed on the invoice once you make a payment on an invoice or the invoice has been marked as paid by your Tax Professional

Follow these steps to make a payment on your invoice with a Bank Account when using TaxCaddy.com on your PC, Mac or tablet.
Follow these steps to add a bank account:

On the Pay Invoice dialog box, click Bank Account.
Click here to see a general overview about paying invoices.
Note: The option to add and pay from a Bank Account appears if your Tax Professional accepts Bank Account as a method of payment.

On the Bank Account Payment section, click Add Bank Account to add a bank account.

In order to make a payment, you must verify your bank account. You can select between Instant Verification or Manual Verification.

Instant Verification
Follow these steps to instantly verify your bank account:

Click Instant Verification to sign in to your bank account.

When the Plaid overview screen appears, click Continue.

Scroll down or use the search bar to find your bank. Click on your bank to select it.

Enter your bank's login credentials. Click Submit.

Login screen may vary based on your selected bank.

You will see an error message if your login credentials were incorrect. Click Retry Login and try again.

You will see a list of your accounts once you sign in successfully.

Click on an account to select it invoice payment. Click Continue.

Wait for the verification process to finish.

The bank account you added will appear under Select a bank account. Click the icon to select the bank account, then click Pay Invoice.

You will see Charge Submitted once the payment has been submitted successfully. Click Done to close the Pay Invoice dialog box.

Your payment status will change to In Processing and you will receive a confirmation email within 5 business days.

Manual Verification
Follow these steps to manually verify your bank account:

Click Manual Verification to verify the bank accounts using routing and account number. Manual verification may take 2 business days.

Enter all fields then click Add Account.

You can click the Help icon
to see an example of how to locate your routing and account number.

If there is an error, click Try Again and verify all fields.

-
Once you have successfully added all fields, click Done.

-
You will see the bank account listed under Bank Account Payments. Once the bank account has been added, it still needs to be verified. You will receive 2 deposits in this bank account, the amounts will be used to authenticate your bank account. This may take up to 2 business days.

Once you receive the payments, open the dialog box again following the steps listed above. Select Bank Account as your method of payment, then click Verify on the bank account you added earlier.
Note:
You only need to manually verify the bank account once after adding it.

To verify this account, enter the two bank deposits under Verification Amount 1 and Verification Amount 2, then click Verify.

Once a bank account has been successfully verified, click Pay to make payments to the invoice.

If you already verified a bank account, then select the bank account then click Pay Invoice.

You will be asked to authorize this payment if this is your first time making a payment from this bank account. Select the I authorize TaxCaddy to... check box, then click Authorize Payment.

After it initiates, wait for the payment process to complete.

You will see Charge Submitted once the payment has been submitted successfully. Click Done to close the Pay Invoice dialog box.

Your payment status will change to In Processing and you will receive a confirmation email within 5 business days.

A stamp is placed on the invoice when you pay an invoice or the invoice has been marked as paid by your Tax Professional.
