You can inform your tax professional that you are done uploading documents for the selected tax year. An e-mail will be sent to your tax professional informing them that you have uploaded all of your requested documents.
After indicating that you’re done uploading once, the Done Uploading button will no longer be available. If your tax professional decides that you’re not finished uploading tax documents and reverts your status to incomplete, the button will be available to click again once you’ve uploaded any additional documents.
TaxCaddy.com on PC, Mac, or tablet
Follow these steps to inform your Tax Professional that you are done uploading documents for this Tax Year:

Log in to TaxCaddy.com.

On the Overview screen, you will see a Task List on the left, with your Upload requests listed as [Tax Year] Document Requests.
Your progress in completing all of your Upload tasks will be denoted with the Progress
icon. Once you've completed all your document requests, you will see the Bell
icon appear.
- Once you've addressed all of your document requests, click [Tax Year] Document Requests to open the Done Uploading screen to the right of your Task List.
If you have not yet completed all of your document requests, but still want to notify your tax professional that you are done uploading, click [Tax Year] Document Requests, then click I'M DONE UPLOADING to view the Done Uploading screen.
You must have at least one document uploaded to your profile to be able to use the I'M DONE UPLOADING feature, otherwise you will see an error notification reading:
"You cannot use this feature until you have fulfilled a document request." -
Once you've completed all your requests, click NOTIFY MY TAX PROFESSIONAL to notify your tax professional (via e-mail) that you have uploaded all your requested documents. If you do not see this screen, skip to the next step.

You will see the following screen only if you still have pending document requests. Click CONTINUE to address the remaining documents before sending your tax professional the done uploading notification.

To continue, you must address any pending items listed under the Document Requests list. You can address each item individually or all at once.
To address each item individually, click Select
.
To address all items at once with the same option, click Select All
at the top of the list.

Click the option that addresses your pending document request:
Doesn't Apply Indicates within the Document Requests that this request does not apply. Will Provide Later Keeps the selected document in the Document Request section. Already Provided Marks the document as already provided. -
Click NOTIFY MY TAX PROFESSIONAL to inform your tax professional that you have finished uploading documents. Once you click NOTIFY MY TAX PROFESSIONAL, it cannot be undone on your end. However, you can still upload additional documents at any time. Your tax professional will receive an email notification if you upload additional documents.
Once you click NOTIFY MY TAX PROFESSIONAL, an email notification will be sent to your tax professional and you will no longer be able to use the I'M DONE UPLOADING feature unless your tax professional alters your status themself.

You will see a success message appear once the done uploading notification has been sent to your tax professional.

You may also see the Done Uploading dialog box appear automatically when a tax professional or a spouse uploaded the last remaining requested item(s) before your current TaxCaddy session.
- Click DON'T ASK ME AGAIN if you do not want to receive further reminders about notifying your tax professional.
- Click NOTIFY MY TAX PROFESSIONAL to notify your tax professional (via e-mail) that you have uploaded all of your requested documents.
- Click DON'T ASK ME AGAIN if you do not want to receive further reminders about notifying your tax professional.
- Alternatively, you can use the DONE UPLOADING feature found in the Documents tab to notify your tax professional that you are done uploading documents for the selected tax year.
iOS mobile app
Follow these steps to inform your Tax Professional that you are done uploading documents on the iPhone mobile phone app.

Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.

Tap the Documents icon on the navigation bar.

On the Documents screen, tap the floating Menu
icon on the lower right corner.

Tap Done Uploading
to inform your Tax Professional that you are done uploading all tax documents. This sends an email notification to your Tax Professional

If you have addressed all requested documents then tap NOTIFY MY TAX PROFESSIONAL to notify your tax professional (via e-mail) that you have uploaded all of your requested documents. Skip to the next step if you do not see this dialog box.

Tap Yes, notify Tax Pro to notify your Tax Professional. An email notification will be sent to your Tax Professional.
Once you click Yes, notify Tax Pro, it cannot be undone. However, you can still upload additional documents at any time.
The Done Uploading feature can only be used once per tax year. Once you tap Yes, notify Tax Pro, the Done Uploading button will no longer be available on the Documents screen.

You will see a notification icon appear next to the Documents icon if the Done Uploading dialog box is pending.
Android mobile app
Follow these steps to inform your Tax Professional that you are done uploading documents on the Android mobile phone app.

Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.

Tap the Menu icon.

Tap Tax Documents.

On the Documents screen, tap the floating Menu icon
on the lower right corner.

Tap Done Uploading
to inform your Tax Professional that you are done uploading all tax documents. This sends an email notification to your Tax Professional.

If you have any remaining document requests, they will appear on the Done Uploading screen. You can either keep the remaining requested document or remove them.
Tap the following buttons to individually select each remaining To Upload document:
(Doesn't Apply)
Removes the selected document from the document request list. (Remind Later)
Keeps the selected document in the document request list.
To simultaneously select all the remaining Document Requests:Doesn't Apply (All)
Removes all the remaining documents from the document request list. Remind Later (All)
Keeps all remaining documents in the document request list. Selected by default.
On the bottom of the screen, you can tap Yes, Let my Tax Pro know, to send an email notification informing your tax professional that you are done uploading all requested documents. Once tapped, it cannot be undone. However, you can still upload additional documents at any time.
The Done Uploading feature can only be used once per tax year. Once you tap Yes, let my Tax Pro know, the Done Uploading button will no longer be available on the Documents screen.
- If you have no remaining document request, Done Uploading panel will appear automatically on the Documents screen once you complete uploading the final requested item.
Tap No, ask me later to dismiss the dialog box for this log in session

The Done Uploading button does not appear under the following conditions:
- You have already used the Done Uploading feature once for the current tax year.
- You have no documents uploaded to the current tax year.
- You are currently not connected to a tax professional.
- You are looking at the current calendar year instead of the tax year.
