When your tax professional needs you to upload a document, their request appears in your requested items under Document Requests.
You can also upload documents that your tax professional has not requested, or retrieve documents directly from your financial institution.
TaxCaddy.com on PC, Mac or tablet
Follow these steps to upload requested items using TaxCaddy.com on your PC, Mac, or tablet.

Log in to TaxCaddy.com.

Click Documents, then click Requested Items.

Click to select the applicable tax year.

Under Documents Requested, click the request you want to upload. Alternatively, you can drag a file onto the document placeholder.
If your tax professional did not request the document you want to upload, or if there is no document placeholder for it, click Upload a Tax Document Not Listed Here.
If a requested document has a fillable form icon
then you have the option to complete the form instead of uploading the document.

Browse to the location of the file on your device and select a file to upload.
Accepted file formats are: .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls and .xlsx. You can upload multiple files to the same category at one time.

To include any additional documents with this Requested Item, drag the files onto the drop zone, or click Drag or click here to upload documents. When you're done, click Close.

The document request is removed from the Document Requests section of your requested items and your tax professional is notified that the document has been uploaded. The uploaded document will be moved to the Uploaded Documents tab.
iOS mobile app
Follow these steps to upload a requested item by taking a photo with the TaxCaddy iPhone mobile phone app.

Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app and tap the Documents icon.

Select the applicable tax year.

Tap Requested.

Under To Upload, tap the Menu
icon to the right of the document you want to upload.

You can upload a document from your device or take a photo. Tap Take a photo to take a photo of your tax document.
If you selected Take a Photo for the first time, TaxCaddy will need permission to access the camera. Tap SET PERMISSION to continue.
If you see the requesting permission dialog box, tap OK to allow TaxCaddy access to your camera.

Position the camera over the document. Additional instructions appear onscreen. The photo will be captured automatically when the camera is properly aligned with the document. Alternatively, tap Switch to Manual Shutter to take the photo manually.

Alternatively, you can tap Upload a File to upload from Google Drive or Dropbox.
You can also tap Reply With Amount to reply with an amount.
Android mobile app
Follow these steps to upload a requested item by taking a photo with the TaxCaddy Android mobile phone app.

Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app, then tap the Menu icon

Tap Tax Documents.

Tap the Tax Year
icon to select the applicable tax year.

Under the To Upload category, tap the Menu icon

Tap Take a photo to take a photo of your tax document.
If you selected Take a Photo for the first time, TaxCaddy will need permission to access the camera. Tap SET PERMISSION to continue.
If you see the requesting permission dialog box, tap OK to allow TaxCaddy access to your camera.
Alternatively, you can tap Upload a File to upload a document from your device, Google Drive, or Dropbox.
- If you selected to take a photo, then position the camera over the document. Additional instructions appear onscreen. The photo will be captured automatically when the camera is properly aligned with the document. Alternatively, tap SWITCH TO MANUAL SHUTTER to take the photo manually.

Tap RETAKE to take the photo again, EDIT to edit the photo, or USE to use the current photo.

Once you've taken your photo, confirm whether or not the document contains multiple pages.

TaxCaddy confirms your document was uploaded and the document is added to Uploaded Tax Documents.
