You can download the tax return to your local device after it has been uploaded by your tax professional. Additionally, you can use the downloaded tax return to print a copy if necessary.
TaxCaddy.com on PC, Mac, or tablet
Follow these steps to download your tax return using TaxCaddy.com on your PC, Mac, or tablet.

Sign in to TaxCaddy.com
- On the Overview screen, you will see a Task List on the left, with your tax returns listed under View - [Tax Return Name].
A tax return document will be marked as completed once it is viewed. Your progress in completing your Tax Return tasks will be denoted with the Progress icon. Once you've completed all your tasks, you will see the Completed icon.
If your tax professional has enabled 1041 tax return profiles on your account for trust/estate, click SWITCH TAX RETURN to select the correct tax return profile. -
Your selected tax return will appear in the Overview screen's document viewer.
You can message your tax professional regarding this tax return using the Message
icon to the right.
Click here to learn more about messaging you tax professional about a tax return. - Click DOWNLOAD and your browser will begin to download your tax return document.
Once the tax return is downloaded on your device, you can open the tax return PDF file and print a copy if necessary.
- Alternatively, you can click Tax Returns or use the Quick Access tile to be directed to a comprehensive list of tax returns uploaded to your account in the Tax Returns tab.

Once you select a tax return from the list, click DOWNLOAD in the Document Viewer panel.
iOS mobile app
Follow these steps to download your return on the iPhone mobile phone app.

Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.
- Tax returns that have been uploaded to your account will appear on the Overview screen. Tap the tax return you'd like to view.
If your tax professional has enabled 1041 tax return profiles on your account, tap the SELECT TAX RETURNS drop-down menu to view your available tax return profiles.

- The tax return you selected will open in the Document Viewer.
- Tap the Menu
icon in the top-right of the document.
- Select Download from the options presented in the menu to download this tax return document.
- Alternatively, you can tap Tax Returns on the tab bar to be directed to a comprehensive list of tax returns uploaded to your account.
Android mobile app
Follow these steps to download your return on the Android mobile phone app.
- Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.
- Tax returns that have been uploaded to your account will appear on the Overview screen. Tap the tax return you'd like to view.
If your tax professional has enabled 1041 tax return profiles on your account, tap the SELECT TAX RETURNS drop-down menu to view your available tax return profiles.

- The tax return you selected will open in the Document Viewer.
- Tap the Menu
- Select Download from the options presented in the menu.
- You'll see a Download complete notification appear at the bottom of your screen indicating to you that you've successfully downloaded this document to your device.
